London and Presenting & Communicating Your Business Ideas Workshop

Happy Easter! We hope you had a good one yesterday and the feast continues today! Since it is a Bank Holiday, and you are more likely to have some free time on your hands, we are giving you something interesting to read. This time we are not travelling far. Actually we are staying right here at home in London and presenting you a fantastic free networking event!

London is one of the most magnetic cities in the world for tourism and business. It is so busy and diverse that we completely agree with Samuel Johnson, who said "A man who is tired of London is tired of life". The British capital is a leading global centre for arts, education, healthcare, entertainment and many others. In fact, it is like a crossroad of different blooming industries. It is probably the best place to meet various individuals and professionals from a number of businesses and areas, and establish great working connections, in addition to gaining valuable experience. This is exactly the type of event we are looking into today - Presenting and Communicating Your Business.

Event Overview

The event is organised by DowSocial, which is a digital media marketing company. The organisers have split the event into three different workshops with different speakers, each of whom with great professional experience and solid career background. In the end, the attendees will be presented with the opportunity to use what they have learnt during the workshops and establish new connections and contacts with other professionals in the open networking part of the event.

Venue

The event is taking place on the 30th April at the O2 Tottenham Court Road. This is a state-of-the-art O2 shop hosting weekly networking events. The Workshop Basement has 4500 square feet of space, able to support almost any business needs. Its location is extremely convenient as it is situated in the heart of Central London between Goodge Street and Tottenham Court Road tube stations with a walking distance 3-5 minutes from each.

Why Go?

First of all it is completely free and taking place in just 2 hours from 6 PM to 8 PM, so it should be convenient for you if you are a working professional and it would not be taking up your whole evening with the family of friends. Of course, there are far more strengths and benefits to the event.
Nowadays, the digital advertisement and social media are so important and powerful that strong online presence is vital for any business. As a business owner, looking to be successful and grow fast, you should be aware of how to communicate your ideas and business values in the digital world, reaching and engaging wider audience. The three workshops will give you exactly this knowledge and skills.

Social Media Strategy with Kristian Downer

  • How to create a social media strategy.
  • Tools to build strong online presence.
  • How to grow your network.
  • How to create a strategy, which accurately reflects your company image.
Improving Your Communication Skills with Nick Moore

  • Dangers of making assumptions without listening.
  • Effective listening and talking.
  • DiSC profiling.
  • Communication with existing and prospective customers.
Present Yourself With Confidence with Kate Atkin

  • Tips, tools and techniques for confidently presenting yourself and your business.
  • What impact do you make.
  • How to demonstrate confidence, even though you might not feel it.
  • What to say to get the most of a networking opportunity.

The event is a brilliant opportunity to meet other like-minded professionals and build long lasting connections, which can help you grow and expand your business. It is also great for recent graduates who fancy turning their own ideas into a startup business, instead of submitting endless job applications. If that sounds just like you, you can register here: http://dowsocial.com/events/ . Do it now, do not procrastinate, because there is less than 10 days left!

Now we'll leave you to get back to the Easter Bunny and stay tuned for our next post!
